Treasurer’s Report
Presented by Kent Mueller. Total bank accounts: $24,838.19; Liability accounts for restricted donations for signs, Weber Park and Washington School Trail: $200.00, $76.95 and $9630.50 respectively for a total Liability accounts of $14,930.74 for an overall balance of $ 14,930.74 as of April 30, 2009. The promised donation from MAFOTT to the city for the new trails has been made. Approval moved by Deb E. and Dan U.; report approved.
Kent also pointed out that the MACCF charges for management of the account. Although it is a cost, the group felt that it was well worth it for the following reasons:
Donations through the foundation are tax deductible. It provides good exposure for MAFOTT in the fact that their website lists all the funds and this may stimulate donations. They manage the donations coming in and send a thank you to all donors including postage. They provide MAFOTT with reports and quarterly updates

Administrative Report

Events Discussed

The MAFOTT display at The Children’s Festival was successful as it targeted a good cross-section of the community that may not have been reached through other events we have been involved with in the past. Dennis Reidel from The Sports Den provided us with part of his table to set up a display.

Trails Update/Trail Report
Dan U. said to take the summer off. There is no other trail work identified at this time.

There was representation of MAFOTT at the Common Council meeting for approval of the Wildwood Trail grant.
On May 13th a presentation regarding Marshfield area pedestrian/bicycle trails will be made at the Marshfield Visitors and Convention Bureau tourism banquet. Dan U., Greg H. and Ed E. will attend.

Updates

The tree planting at Weber Park was a success. A total of 900 trees were planted, 800 from Spruce Lane Co. and 100 from other sources.

Thank you to all who have helped with tree planting or with the cleaning of the trails.

Progress is being made on the web site for MAFOTT. Greg and Sandy have been meeting with and having email contact with Chuck Treankler whose class at Senior High has been working on the site. They will be meeting next week.

The trail dog waste bags are still in discussion with the city.

Motion was made by Deb. E., seconded by LeRoy to have P &M print shirts for us. A bright yellow shirt was chosen. We will check into printing being done on the back as well as an emblem on the front. We will also check with Heinzen Printing regarding “election type” signs to display at trail worksites.

Other Business

Brochures are being given to Anne Boson for distribution.
A plant sale is being held to raise funds for the Washington School Trail. It will be held on May 29 and 30 at the home of Greg Nycz. A daffodil bulb sale will be held in the fall.

Denny R. moved to adjourn, LeRoy E. seconded the motion; the motion passed.
